Long live Goûter time! This fun, colourful book celebrates the French tradition of 'Goûter'. Goûter is an institution in France without a real equivalent in British culture. It’s a tea-time snack, eaten almost exclusively by children after school at around 4pm, that consists solely of sweet treats.
Vive l'heure du goûter ! explores different items that are typically consumed for Goûter - les palmiers, les petit-beurre, les chocos, pain au chocolat and more - inviting the young reader to interact with each page through exploring the illustrations. It is a good introduction to French culture for young children.
Vive l'heure du goûter ! is written entirely in French as it is intended for native French speakers. The language is fairly simple as it is aimed at young children.
