Pricing Policy

The total cost of Your order will be stipulated at the time You make payment and Your order is confirmed. We reserve the right to make changes to Our prices at any time without notice. You are responsible for checking the cost of Your order before making payment. All prices are shown inclusive of VAT (where applicable). International customers (including those in the EU) will be responsible for any applicable import taxes and duties payable on receipt of the parcel in Their country.

Delivery of Goods

We aim to deliver Your order within 5-7 working days following dispatch (domestic orders only), however this is not guaranteed. International customers should check our international information in the "Delivery Information" pages for an idea of timescale. We will endeavour to dispatch orders of in-stock products within 2 working days of receipt of the order. Orders may take longer because some items are not normally held in stock and have to be ordered from overseas - this will be made clear at the time of placing your order but we will not be responsible if an item that is marked as "in stock" is subsequently found to be out of stock. Please always allow 30 days for delivery. Some special order items may take longer than this, but their lead-time will be clearly indicated before You proceed with Your order.

Regrettably, in some instances the items that You have ordered may have become unavailable and We reserve the right to cancel Your order. You will always be contacted in such circumstances and given a full refund or offered an alternative product.

Packages are may be sent with the postal service or a courier, and sometimes may require a signature on receipt. You shall become wholly responsible for the goods once they have been accepted.

As packages may be too large to go through your letterbox and / or require a signature, you should ensure that you do not order at times when you are not around to receive the order. This includes periods of holidays.

If You are out, the postal worker should normally leave a card to inform You that they tried to deliver Your parcel. Should You fail to collect an item that is being held for You at Your local Royal Mail depot, it will normally be returned to Us. Should You wish for us to resend the parcel, additional postage costs may be charged for this. If this is the case, You shall be informed of the exact cost which You must agree to pay before any charges are made and the parcel is re-sent. If You do not wish to pay to have Your order resent, You will be eligable for a refund of the goods (if within 14 days of first dispatch) or a credit note to the value of Your order, excluding P&P costs. If a charge is made to Us for the return carriage of Your order due to You supplying an incomplete address or failing to arrange collection of Your order, this charge will be deducted from Your refund.

Lost / delayed items

You are wholy responsible for ensuring that You supply Us with a correct delivery address, including full postal code where necessary. Failure to do so may result in delay or non-delivery of your item(s), for which We will have no responsibility.

Should Your order become lost / delayed in the post, We shall hold no responsibility. We always obtain proof of posting and will endeavour to claim from Royal Mail compensation to reimburse You for the value of the missing goods or to replace Your order. Please be aware that Royal Mail will not declare items as lost until 15 working days have passed and We cannot act until this time has passed.

You must contact us at Your earliest opportunity if You suspect that Your order is lost and no later than 15 days from the date of dispatch of Your order. We regret that we cannot investigate loss of Your order more than 1 month after dispatch.

We will not be liable for delays arising from Forces Majeures or any other unforeseen circumstances including industrial action.

Items left in a safe place

When ordering, You may leave a comment asking us to leave Your order in a safe place (as designated by Yourself) if You are out at the time of delivery (examples include, but are not limited to a porch, shed, with a neighbour etc.). If you ask us to supply this information to the company delivering Your order, We shall not be held responsible for any items that go missing. You will not be able to make a claim for loss should Your order go astray. Sometimes, the delivery workers may decide that they are not willing to leave post unattended and We will not be held responsible for any inconvenience incurred by you having to reschedule delivery or collect Your order from the delivery depot.

International shipments

Any taxes / duties levied on goods imported into overseas destinations (including to EU countries) will need to be paid by the receiver of the goods. Please check with Your local authorities to confirm what charges would be. Should You refuse delivery of an order that you have made to be delivered to an overseas destination, please be advised that return charges will be incurred, at least equivalent to the outgoing shipping fee paid and, in some cases, more. You will be responsible for these charges.

Returns policy

All returns must be authorised by contacting us first . Failure to gain authorisation may prevent us from correctly processing your refund / exchange.

Returning Faulty / Damaged Products

To return a faulty item, customers should contact our customer services department immediately (but in any case no later than 48 hours following receipt) to gain authorisation.

An advisor will contact customers with full details on how to return Their item(s) to Us.

Your postage costs will be reimbursed by Us or a pre-paid returns label will be supplied. Faulty items will be replaced with the same title or a refund back to the credit card if the title is no longer available.

Please note that Our returns policy with respect to faulty goods is only valid if goods are received by us within 14 days from receipt of goods. All returned goods will be inspected by Us and should we find there to be no problem with them, they shall be returned to You and an additional charge made to your card to cover postage costs.

Returning Unwanted Products

Customers may return most unopened items (please see below for exclusions) within 14 days of receipt it for a full refund (excluding P&P), providing it is returned as sold, unused and with any sealed packaging intact. You must contact Us to request a return and ensure that all item(s) are received by us within 14 days of receipt.

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/E you have the right to cancel your contract with Little Linguist Ltd within 14 days without giving any reason for your cancellation. This request must be made in writing.

We will refund credit/debit cards once we have received and processed the item (please allow up to 14 days).

We regret that we cannot accept returns of media such as CDs, DVDs, computer software or similar, unless faulty. In addition, some photocopiable resources and schemes of work may not be returned if unsuitable. Any items that have been made for you such as our personalised welcome poster, cannot be returned. If an item is a non-stock item (shown as 'special-order'), these items are not held in stock and will be specially ordered for you on request when you place your order. Therefore, these items cannot be cancelled or returned (if faulty, we will of course replace). If you are a school or a business ordering titles in bulk (more than 5 copies of the same item), this is also deemed as a special order and those items will be non-returnable. If you are unsure as to whether the product will suit your requirements, please contact us for advice or order a single copy in the first instance.

Please note that we can only refund delivery costs if the return is a result of our error, otherwise You are responsible for the return postage costs. You are also responsible for ensuring that the item is returned to us safely and undamaged. We recommend that you receive proof of posting from the Post Office (available free of charge), or use a tracked and insured service for more valuable items, as we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of returned goods.

If You’re returning goods from outside the UK, You will need to indicate that Your parcel is a ‘Return’ to the UK, and not an import. If Your documentation is completed incorrectly and duty is subsequently charged to Little Linguist, the sum will be deducted from Your final refund or, if the customs charges exceed the original order value, We will refuse the delivery.

If returned products are received by Us in an unsatisfactory condition, they shall be returned to you and a charge made to cover additional postage costs, or we may offer a partial refund as We will have to sell those products as used.

International Returns: It is essential that you make a note on the packet's customs note that the product contained within is an item you are returning to the UK. Failure to do so will mean that we may have to pay customs duty and this will be deducted from your refund, regardless of whether or not the item was faulty.

All returns must be authorised by contacting us first . Failure to gain authorisation may prevent us from correctly processing your refund / exchange.
