The majority of the text is in English with Hebrew words and phrases slipped in as the story progresses. Having a main character who only speaks Hebrew helps to build empathy and a positive attitude towards people who speak different languages.
The Fabulous Lost & Found and the Little Mouse who Spoke Hebrew is an ideal story to share with young children being introduced to Hebrew for the first time. A list of the Hebrew and English words and phrases from the story are shown at the back of the book, together with their translations.
It would be useful if the parent, teacher or caregiver reading this story had some knowledge of Hebrew to be able to pronounce the Hebrew words correctly, although pronunciation guides are provided for the Hebrew words taught in the story.
