Written by Rachel Redfearn of Wakefield Local Authority, La Jolie Ronde Scheme of Work for Spanish is a comprehensive Primary Spanish scheme of work that has been written in accordance with the Key Stage 2 Framework for Modern Foreign Languages.
This scheme of work follows on from the year 3 and 4 Scheme and provides a complete Key Stage 2 solution for teaching Spanish in the Primary curriculum. Ideal for non-specialist teachers, more experienced teachers can use these as a guide only and adapt them to suit themselves.
The package includes:
- Detailed lesson notes in a sturdy ring binder; these notes are also supplied on CD.
- CD-Rom of resources to support lessons (flash cards, texts of stories and poems, transcripts of songs, PowerPoint presentations) and activities and games for use with the Interactive Whiteboard
- Audio CD of songs and poems, Canta en español 2, recorded by native Spanish speakers (27 tracks)
- CD of sound files for language support.
The lessons are generally divided into 4 x 15 minute sessions to give maximum flexibility.
The whiteboard material is supplied in FLASH format (for use on ALL whiteboards).
La Jolie Ronde Scheme of Work for Spanish: Years 5 & 6 has been developed for use with KS2 / junior school children who have completed La Jolie Ronde Scheme of Work for Spanish: Years 3 & 4. It is aimed at years 5 and 6 (age 9 - 11) who are in their 3rd and 4th years of learning Spanish.
